Before you rely on an answer

Guidance is a starting point—not professional advice.

AfriVoice can organise information and evidence. It cannot replace a qualified professional or responsible public authority.

01 · Acceptance and eligibility

Your agreement with AfriVoice

These terms apply when you access AfriVoice on the web or through the mobile application (com.afrivoice.ai). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and confirm that you have authority to do so.

You must be at least 16, unless you use AfriVoice through an authorised institutional arrangement that can lawfully provide access and safeguards. If you use AfriVoice for an organisation or workspace, you must be authorised to act for it.

02 · Your account

Accurate details and secure access

Provide accurate information, keep it current and protect your sign-in credentials. Ordinarily, each account is for one person and must not be shared. A designated reviewer or demonstration account may be used by authorised reviewers only when AfriVoice has supplied it for that purpose.

Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law.

03 · What AfriVoice provides

Tools for rights, recognition and community

AfriVoice provides general rights information, evidence-grounded AI responses, professional recognition roadmaps, community and group features, a document library, maps and place information, and voice or dictation interfaces. Features may differ by device, location, workspace or release.

04 · Important service boundary

Information—not legal, immigration, medical or financial advice

AfriVoice provides general information and organisational assistance. It does not provide legal, immigration, medical, clinical or financial advice, and its use does not create a lawyer-client, clinician-patient, adviser-client or other professional relationship.

Verify important, time-sensitive or situation-specific decisions with a qualified professional or the responsible official authority. If there is an emergency or immediate risk of harm, contact the appropriate official emergency service rather than relying on AfriVoice.

05 · AI and source limitations

AI can misunderstand or be wrong

Generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unsuitable for your circumstances. A confidence indicator or citation is not a guarantee. Sources can change and may not cover every relevant fact. You are responsible for assessing output and checking cited materials before acting on it.

06 · Your content

You keep ownership; we need a limited permission

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant AfriVoice a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, copy, process, index, transcribe, adapt for technical delivery, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service according to your selected visibility.

Private content is scoped to you within product retrieval; shared content can be seen by the people or workspace you select. You must have the rights, authority and any necessary consent to upload or share content, including information about another person. Removing content or closing an account ends this permission except where retention is technically or legally necessary.

07 · Community standards

Participate with dignity

Do not use AfriVoice for harassment, hate, threats, fraud, impersonation, doxxing, exploitation, unlawful or dangerous content, malware, unauthorised scraping, spam, system abuse, reverse engineering, security interference, deceptive AI use, or uploading personal or confidential data without authority.

Do not use the service to deny another person’s rights, misrepresent AI output as verified professional advice, or evade lawful safeguards. Community spaces may have additional proportionate rules shown to their members.

08 · Maps and third parties

Place information can change

Maps, locations, opening hours, telephone numbers, routes and place details are informational and may be supplied by third-party providers. Check current information directly before travelling or relying on it. External websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices.

09 · AfriVoice intellectual property

A limited licence to use the service

AfriVoice and its licensors retain rights in the application, brand, interface, software, original content and service design. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. This does not transfer ownership of AfriVoice intellectual property to you.

10 · Moderation and accounts

Actions needed to protect the service

We may review reports, limit visibility, remove content, restrict features or suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect people or systems, or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will consider context and provide notice or a route to query a decision.

You may request account deletion through available Profile controls or support. Content you shared may remain where another user has a legitimate copy, where community continuity requires an anonymised record, or where retention is legally necessary.

11 · Availability and liability

A service that will continue to evolve

We aim to keep AfriVoice reliable and safe, but cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available access. We may change, pause or discontinue features for operational, legal, security or product reasons.

To the extent permitted by law, AfriVoice is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that result from unauthorised use, third-party services, inaccurate user content, or decisions made without appropriate verification. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.

12 · Governing law

England and Wales, with consumer protections preserved

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, while any mandatory consumer protections and rights to use the courts of your home jurisdiction remain unaffected where applicable.

13 · Changes and contact

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as AfriVoice, applicable law or platform requirements change. We will revise the date above and give proportionate notice of material changes through the service where appropriate. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated terms apply.
